4th Fridays Open Mic at Brookland Busboys and Poets

Sue is a long-time Brookland resident. Her book, After Enchantment, reimagines stories about her favorite fairy tales. Her writing is sometimes wry, sometimes raw, but always unflinching and heartfelt. She is published in numerous journals and currently is the Board Co-Chair at Split This Rock.
Tickets are $5 and the open mic is open to all.
NOTES TO OPEN MIC PERFORMERS:
Those who sign up have a maximum of 5 minutes to perform in any discipline including original poetry, other people's poetry, stand Up comedy, storytelling, tap dance, and acoustic music.
All performers are asked to refrain from queerphobic, transphobic, racist, or misogynist works as this is a safe space for teens and up.
If you have an instrument that needs to plug into a speaker, you are asked to bring your own Bluetooth enabled speaker to the stage as you sing into the mic.
If you need to bring up your own amp, you can set it up at sign up.
